Byrknes Ocean Resort has appointed renowned Michelin-starred chef Christopher Haatuft as Culinary Director, entrusting him with the development of the hotel's restaurant and overall dining concept.
Haatuft is best known as the founder of the Michelin-starred restaurant Lysverket in Bergen.
With extensive experience, a distinctive culinary vision, and a passion for exceptional ingredients, he will create a dining experience that reflects the sea, the rich coastal heritage, and the unique landscape surrounding Byrknesøy. His ambition is to bring a journey through Basque culinary philosophy to the resort, with fish and shellfish taking centre stage.

Byrknes Ocean Resort is currently under development in Byrknes, in the Municipality of Gulen, and is scheduled to open in September 2027.
